Lovely London

Pictures: 1 and 2 are out last night. 3-5 are of my lovely neighborhood. 6 is the grocery store I shop at 7 is my school! 8 is the Rosetta Stone!

I am starting to use the word "lovely" now... I am so used to hearing it all the time. People are constantly saying "its a lovely day or that is lovely". haha

Someone stopped to ask me for directions today and then before I could even answer said wait your American right, you wouldn't know? So weird, I don't get it!!!

Also, whenever I buy something they ask you if you'd like a bag and at first I didn't understand what they were talking about. People just put everything they buy into their book bags and purses here. No one carries bags around. So strange!!!

Lets see, its been a couple days. Yesterday I went to the British Museum to see the Rosetta Stone which was pretty cool. Then after class we all went to dinner at a PUB and out as a group. It was cool but strange having your professors encouraging drinking and buying the drinks. They stayed out with us till 3 or 4 am. For the first time walking around outside, I felt nervous yesterday. We were in the center square of London and started to walk home and there were scary people everywhere. We were fine because there was like 10 of us but if there were just 3 people or less I would have been scared.

I finally realized why I couldn't of or won't ever be able to go to undergrad/grad school in a big city... too many distractions. I have not been doing as well as I usually do in school. Its so hard to concentrate and study when your in one of the best cities in the world...

I'm not ready to leave London but ready to be staying in the apartments in Dublin. Here we have feathers and bird poop on our counter, our showers broken so water floods our bathroom and hallway every time we take a shower, and the beds are harder than the floor... Oh well I guess its preparing us for the hostels we will be staying in all next week... ahh Mom we should have gone camping when I was little not stayed in the Marriott, I've become spoiled about accommodations :) Although I don't think asking for a working shower and a poop free counter is very much :)

I have a lot of homework to do tonight but tomorrow I am waking up early and exploring by myself before class! I am so excited!!!
