I have to admit classes are getting in the way of studying abroad :) Especially finance... it is so boring and is going to get hard. Classes are usually 15 weeks but we only have 5 weeks of classes... so it is a lot of work in a short amount of time.
I am amazed by how cheap and delicious the food is here. There is a small grocery two blocks away and I usually stop by there for lunch: you can get a made to order sandwich/pasta, fruit, chips, dessert, and a water for 3 pounds. I have not had one thing here that wasn't really good.
Yesterday, a few of us went to Regents Park. This park is like Central Park for London. It's four blocks away from my apartment and beautiful! I found my dream house on the way :) There were people everywhere walking, playing sports, having a picnic, and playing with pets. We only saw about 1/5 of it, we are planning on going back another day. We ate dinner at the Honest Sausage which is in the middle of the park and supposed to be very popular.
I made an itinerary for this weekend so we can cover everything we all want to see... It's going to be a busy but great weekend!!!
Looks like its going to rain again... it rains everyday for a half hour and then stops and then rains again. Everyone brings their umbrella everywhere they go...
Miss everyone!

Pigeons
So I went to go make lunch and there were two pigeons hanging out in my kitchen! I about died! They don't have window screens here... I am quite scared that I am going to wake up one morning with pigeons in my bed (we have to sleep with our windows open b/c there is no a/c).
Classes Started
Walking through downtown London on my way to class was one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced. It definitely proved to me that I am a city girl... I love the feeling of people around all the time everywhere I go and the city is busy at all times. It takes me 15-20 minutes to walk to class. I love the energy and vibe this city gives off...
Marketing class was good. My professor is really nice!
I have to go buy a few things that I forgot: floss and a converter. Then homework, Finance class, than traveling around London for dinner and shopping! : )
I could live this life forever!!!
P.S. I just learned you do need both a converter and adapter... I thought mine was all in one so I just plugged my blow dryer in and it sparked and turned off all the electricity in my room... hopefully I didn't fry my blowdryer or adapter... haha

Arrived in London!
Hi Everyone!!!
I arrived in London yesterday!!!
Let's start with my plane ride... One word: HORRIBLE!!! I guess I expected a little more leg room... it was cramped... The lady next to me was really strange, she asked for my cheese stick at dinner and she vomited twice in the paper bag. There was a screaming baby two rows back... which seemed like every time I had just fallen asleep she started crying... There was a sound box where I was supposed to put my purse under the seat in front of me so I couldn't keep my bag with me... The only good thing is they fed us dinner and breakfast right before we got to London...
Now to London... It is AMAZING! I don't even know how to explain it. I've never been to such a beautiful place. Everything is nice, there is no empty or run down buildings or anything.
Yesterday those of us that were here went exploring. We went to Warren Street not even realizing that it was the best place to shop in London... it's only five blocks away. We didn't shop though because we were just exploring. We stopped at a little bar to have a drink because we were hot (the weather was just a few degrees cooler than home) and one of the girls with us flirted with a bartender and he told us to go to this restaurant for dinner. Which was delicious... the bartender ended up coming and we were eating dinner and his mouth dropped open because apparently two tables down was a England celebrity... which was kind of cool but I don't even remember what her name was.

Today, UD paid for us to go on the number one bus tour in London. We got to see everything!!! So now we know what we want to go back to and see. After the tour Melanie and Sarah (two girls I've been running around with, there a lot like me) and I went to Chinatown for lunch. It was one of the best meals I have ever had. (I told you the food in London was going to be good Joejoe :) )
Our dorm/apartment has five single bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen. It's in the middle of University College London. It's a great location. The amenities aren't that great but I love having my own room. Everyone has been complaining about it but I am happy with it.
I start classes tomorrow: Marketing and Finance. I am excited for Marketing but not so for Finance.
So, life is GREAT here! I am so excited for the rest of the trip.
The pictures: I can't figure out how to turn them sorry or make them bigger. I took a million but didn't want to bore you with all the architecture... Two of them are of my room, one of my kitchen, one's of Big Ben, one if you look closely you can see Big Ben and the London Eye (we were on a bridge), ones from the tour, and the other ones were from Chinatown. The pictures didn't post as well as they look. I got some great shots!!!
I miss and love everyone!!!

Figuring This Out
A few people suggested that I keep a blog while I am studying abroad. This way I can keep everyone updated on my trip. I will hopefully be able to write on here every couple of days and post pictures. Hope you enjoy! : )
